FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN
MANY VISITORS FOR PRIVATE HOMES LONDON, March 26. More than SOM householder* have •greed to accommodate oventii visitors during the Festival of Britain. They are expected to provide 11.000 beds—in addition to hotel and board-ing-house accommodation. The British Travel and Holiday Association says: "The aim will be to link similarity of interest between guest and host." Londoners’ response to the association’* appeal has been so good that the private accommodation register has been closed. Some householders have expressed a preference for visitors from the British Commonwealth and from America, so that they can repay hospitality given to their sons who trained overseas during the war. Prices will range from 7s 6d to 15s 6d a day, for bed and breakfast, according to the household’s standard of living.
