MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE
(New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, April 11. Jimmy Clarke, aged 27 a bushman, of Mamaku, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court to-day with manslaughter.
The police alleged that Hemi Otene had died of injuries received in a fight at a party in Mamaku on March 10. Seven witnesses were heard, and at the conclusion accused pleaded not guilty, and was committed for trial in the Supreme Court at Hamilton.
