STOCK EXCHANGES MARKETS QUIET Markets were quiet on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, and business was restricted to a few stocks. Prices on the whole held about recent levels. Sellers for Government securities considerably outnumbered buyers. In the mining section buyers offered 3s 6d for Austral (N.Z.) without interesting sellers.
