ALAN LOVEDAY ENGAGED
(Special UefrsspoMdeHt NJt.P.A.) (ReC. 8 p.m.) LONDON April 10. Alan Loveday, or Palmerston North, who has made a name for himself in Britain as an outstanding Violinist, re-
cently announced his engagement to an English pianist, Miss Ruth Stanfield. They intend to get married next year and then hope to visit New Eealand to give a number of recitals. Miss Stanfield is still a student at the Royal College of Music and on April 12 they will give a recital togethe at the Overseas League. Alan Loveday, who is now a wellknown performer at promenade concerts in Loudon, has several engagements during the Festival of Britain. Among places where he Will play are Birmingham, Saint Ives, and Stratford-on-Avon.
