NEW ZEALAND’S TAX SYSTEM
STUDY*TOrBE*StADE BY SIAMESE PRINCE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 10 Prince Nibadh Diskul, head of Siam's Taxation Department, arrived by fly-ing-boat from Sydney to-day to study New Zealand’s taxation system. There was a likelihood that the Government of Siam would overhaul its methods of raising taxes, he said, and he was studying tax systems employed in other countries with the idea of adopting the best of what he saw to Siamese conditions. He was particularly interested in studying New Zealand’s social security system. No such scheme existed in his country at present but it was likely that a system akin to social security might be introduced in the future. His main concern, he added, was in finding the various methods used in actually obtaining income tax payments.
