GRATUITIES FOR K FORCE
PAYMENT TO ALL MEMBERS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 29. ‘All members of K-Force will be paid a gratuity. The Government promised this when it announced income tax concessions to members of the force, and that stands,” said the Minister of Defence (Mr T. L. Macdonald) this morning, when the Australian decision to pay troops fighting in Korea a gratuity of 2s 6d a day was referred to him. Mr Macdonald said that the amount of the New Zealand gratuity had still to be fixed by Cabinet and would be announced in due course.
