Mr E. A. Hawkhead has been appointed a mathematics master at the Christchurch Boys’ High School. A senior member of the staff. Mr H. EDyer, has been appointed head of th* newly created science department. This information was given at a meeting of the school’s board of managers yesterday. Mr D. C. Morse, of the staff of th* Christchurch office of the Lands an# Survey Department, will shortly take up an appointment with the Island Territories Department at Niue Island. He will leave Christchurch this evening for Auckland to join the Matu*. Mr Morse, whose appointment is **» three vears. has been serretarv of tn* Canterbury Mountaineering Club.
