INTERFERENCE WITH CYCLES
Sir,—May I, through your columns, draw attention to an incident which happened at the Centennial Pool on Saturday. Some irresponsible person had severed the brake cables on my daughter’s bicycle. Other cycles there had been mutilated in a similar manner. To make matters worse, the casing had been pushed back into the sockets to create the illusion that all was well. To me, this is a criminal act and might easily result in the death of young persons who attempt to stop their cycles in. the face of oncoming traffic. I would ask all parents to warn their children of this practice and to keep their eyes open for any person interfering with bicycles and report the name or description of the person to the proper authority.—Yours, etc., „ v ANGRY. FATHER. March 5, 1951.
