Sir,-I am in full aftWhent with “Disappointed Jteturned Mto." I attended this land sale On February 28 in hopes of purchasing a farm, hut found out that "unless a servicemta can put up £5OOO or £BOOO of his own; the State Advances Department will not help him. This 200 acre farm, a Crown lease with improvements valued at £lBOO. was knocked down at £5300. How does odr present Minister of Lands expect a serviceman to settle himself under these prices? I know of six farms sold in the last few weeks, but not to servicemen; and they were all suitable for rehabilitation.— Yours, etc.. ANOTHER SERVICEMAN. March 3, 1951.
