Forecast: moderate variable winds, easterlies predominating; weather fair to cloudy and mild. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— to moderate variable winds; weather fine and mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was overcast but warm.
