Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation: an intense anti-cyclone, centred over the south Tasman, extends over New Zealand. Forecast: moderate variable winds, easterlies predominating; weather fair to cloudy and mild. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— to moderate variable winds; weather fine and mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was overcast but warm. At midnight, the sky was clear, and there was no wind. The temperature was 53 degrees. The barometer, at 3«.319in (1026.7 millibars), was falling.
