POTATOES FOR AUSTRALIA
N.Z. SUPPLIES MAY BE SOUGHT

New Zealand may -e asked to grow potatoes under contract for Sydney this winter. Mr P. S. MacDermott, secretary of the Chamber of Fruit ami Vegetable Industries, said to-day. The potato position was x.orse than ever this year, and after July there would be practically none unle s rationing was started almost immediately. Mr McDermott said New Zealand could supply the extra potatoes if growers planted now. The Government should make contracts with New Zealand immediately.
