MR H. WILSON TO VISIT U.S.
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 20. "It appears that the hopes founded on Mr Attlee’s talks with Mr Truman on raw material problems have not been fulfilled," says the political correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph’’ commenting on the announcement that the President of the Beard of Trade (Mr H. Wilson) would probably visit Canada and the United States soon to discuss commercial and economic problems, particularly the supply of essential raw materials. “Britain's sulphur supply is critical and it is hoped to obtain immediate release from American stocks. Though some supplies of sulnhur and zinc have been forthcoming, they have not been on a scale sufficient to relieve the shortages which threaten Britain's rearmament programme at the outset. “It is hoped that the International Commodity Grouos, whose establish iment was recently announced, will Ideal with the long-term suoply position,’’ says the correspondent
