INCREASED OUTPUT OF COAL
NEW OPEN-CAST AREAS IN WAIKATO (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 11 The output from the Waikato coal mines is expected to be increased by 300 to 400 tons a day from the-new open-cast areas in which operation! began this week after the < holidsy break. „ An official said to-day that the availability of the extra output depended on the supply of railway waggons. The Railways Department had supplied all the waggons required tnb week but the position might be moH difficult next week when industry rtsumed normal work.
