More than 10.000 cartons of ice cream, representing 167 gallons, were sold at the Boys’ Brigade camp held at Waipara recently. The last issue of the camp newspaper also reports the following sales: 23.000 bottles of soft drink. 13,000 assorted cakes of chocolate, 5200 packets of chewing gum, 276 torch batteries, and "other less essential items such as toilet requisites, cottons, socks, pencils, and boot polish.”
