BANKS PENINSULA CRUISING CLUB
The Banks Peninsula Cruising Club held its opening ceremony on Sunday at its clubhouse at Lyttelton. The commodore, Mr A. C. Lambert, addressed members. and the president. Mr H. A. Rhind, declared the season open.
Later members sailed their yachts after the commodore's ketch. Banika, in a procession around the inner harbour and then to Ripa Island. Twenty-eight yachts took part. \ne rest of the day was spent ns a picnic at Ripa Island.
