ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT
(Rec. 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. fl.
The Puerto Rican Nationalist, Oscar Collazo, penniless and apparently deserted by his friends, asked the Federal Court to-day to appoint a lawyer to defend him against the murder charge resulting from his attempt to assassinate President Truman on November 1.
Mr Justice Edward Tamm said he Would name an attorney to represent Collazo without fee. The Federal prosecutors will ask a grand jury later this week to indict Collazo on a charge of first degree murder of one of Mr Truman’s guards.
