RECRUITING OVERSEAS
MR LANGBEIN TO LEAVE SOON ON MISSION
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, November 6. Skilled engineers to All vacancies in the Ministry of Works are to be recruited overseas by Mr F. Langbein, engineer-in-charge of the Works Department. The Minister of Works (Mr W. S. Goosmarrt said to-night that Mr Langbein would leave soon to visit Britain, Sanada, and the United States. Mr Goosman said that in addition to selecting engineering staff Mr Langbein would interview civil engineering consultants in Britain. Canada, and the United States who might assist in the designing of the Atiamuri and Ohakuri projects in the Waikato hydro-elect.ic development scheme. While in Britain he would also discuss the planning of the Auckland harbour bridge with the architect*, Sir Ralph Freeman and his partners.
