VICEREGAL Yesterday, their Excellencies the Governor-General and Ladv Frevberg attended the second day of the Canterbury .Jockey Clubs New Zealand Cup meeting at Riccarton. In the evening. Her Excellency presented a good service medal to Mrs Muschamp Advice has been received in Christchurch that the Archbishop of Melbourne tthe Most Rev D Mann'x' will be represented at the Roman Catholic centennial celebrations, whi'-t open in Christchurch next week, bv the Coadjutor Archbishop of Mel bourne (the Most Rev. Sinee his return from Japan, where he served with the Occupation Forces, Lieutenant Smith had be-m stationed at Christchurch as adjutant to the 15th Composite AntiAircraft Regiment.
