TRAMWAY REVENUE
DEFICIENCY $64,678 FOR SEVEN MONTHS Tramway revenue increased by £1721 in the lour weeks ended October 8. compared with the corresponding period last year, according to the statement before the Tramway Board at its meeting yesterday. In the same period operating expenses increased by £4396, and the net loss was £2313. The deficiency for the period was £lO 899. an increase of £3566 on last year, and the deficiency to Hate for the 1950-51 financial year was £64,678, an increase of £17,783 on the corresponding period for the previous year. The number of passengers carried in the period under review tvas 1.999,003, , a decrease of 15,331 on last year.
