(New Zealand Press Association) • * DUNEDIN. Nov. 6. The former Victorian middlerweight, Billy Gleeson, of Dunedin, lost lOjlb, gave a first-class display of boxing to outpoint Clem 'Sands, of Sydney, lost ISjlb. in a professional contest over 12 rounds at the town hall to-night. Although Gleeson won most of the rounds, there were some punishing rallies, with Sands trying hard for a decisive punch. This was especially so in • the last round, but Gleeson fought back just as strongly and won by a good margin. The attendance was on a nf the smallest of the season. |
