COMMANDO RAIDS IN NORTH
(Rec. 8.20 p.m.) SEOUL, Oct. 15. Royal Marine Commandos with wierdly painted faces made lightning raids on Communist ports on the North Korean east coast far north of the 38th Parallel.
The raids, details of which were announced yesterday, took place less than 100 miles from the Russian border.
One raiding force blew up a railway tunnel with 40Q01b of high explosive, cutting the important Communist supply line to the fighting front.
The same group attacked a railway bridge and tunnel four miles south of Song jin. The following day they killed one North Korean sentry and planted two tons of explosives on targets.
