MAN DIES AFTER FALL
TWO OTHERS INJURED THROWN FROM TRAY OF TRUCK (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 15. One man received fatal injuries and two others were injured when they fell from the tray of a truck as it was turning the corner from Howe street into Beresford street, soon after midnight on Saturday. The man who died in the Auckland Hospital soon afterward was Allan Butler, aged 23, single, a sailmaker, of Eden terrace. Ernest Spiers, aged 37, a barman, suffered concussion and Charles Turby, aged 25, a brass moulder, fractured his left wrist. The party was returning home on a truck after attending a smoke concert when the accident occurred.
