MINOR EVENTS AT FORBURY PARK

PRECAUTION IN TAHUNA HANDICAP Precaution recorded a sound effort to win the Tahuna Handicap at the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday. He made up his handicap of 48 yards gradually, and, after being blocked early in the run home, he finished resolutely to win by a length from King Pin. When the field had settled down, Single Bill was leading Bonus, King Pin. Super Sarin, Jenny Dillon, Norma’s Pride, and Precaution. There was little change in the order for the next six furlongs, except that Norma’s Pride had moved up on the outside of the leaders. With three furlongs left to run. Single Bill and Norma’s Pride were together in front of King Pin and Precaution, with a gap to Jenny Dillon and Sure Catch. St. Kilda Handicap After being well back with a circuit of the track to go. Secret Mission finished with a fine burst of speed in the St. Kilda Handicap to win comfortably from Diamed. which had every chance. Milford Lad, Friendly Scott. Diligent. Lahore, Virginia Scott, and Major Gaillard all broke at the start, and Straight Cut was the first to show out from Knightmare, Gallant Satin, Perfect Trail. Brooksby Hall, Baron Scott. Cabot, Secret Mission, Diamed, and Lahore. Perfect Trail went into the lead at the end of half a mile, but otherwise there was little change in the order over the next five furlongs. At thia stag. Perfect Trail was a length clear of Cabot, which had moved up fast, Diamed. Straight Cut. Knightmare, Virginia Scott. Secret Mission, and Gallant Satin. Secret Mission was third with three furlongs to go. and he followed Diamed and Perfect Trail into the straight. Secret Mission soon had the measure of the field, and he won well from Diamed and Knightmare. Lahore finished well for fourth, just ahead of Perfect Trail. Baron Scott, and Straight Cut.

Domain Handicap Eileen Lillian paced a grand race to win the Domain Handicap from Casacando. which set a very strong pace over the last mile. Helali was the early pacemaker from Casacando, Currency, Luck Ahead, Tradition, Wrackdale. Native Royal, Eileen Lillian, and Final Return. Casacando took over the pacemaking with a mile to go. and with five furlongs to run he was leading Luck Ahead, Helali. Native Royal, Currency, Wrackdale, Final Return, County Sheriff, and Eileen Lillian. The latter made up a lot of ground on the bend into the back straight, and passing the three she was in sixth place behind Casacando, which was two lengths clear of Helali. with three to. Currency, Luck Ahead, and Native Royal. Casacando. Native Royal, and Eileen Lillian were in line turning for home, and in a good finish Eileen Lillian finished best to beat Casacando by a neck. Native Royal was third, with a break of four lengths to Gay Lyric, which just shaded Currency and Wrackdale, with Helali next Gay Lyric recorded an outstanding effort after breaking at the start as a result of a fright received when his overcheck broke. Officious. Loyal Scot, Mystery Dillon, and Final Return broka at the start, and the favourite. Tradition started to drift with five furlongs to run afer getting her tongue over the bit.
