WOMAN DIES FROM INJURIES

From Our Own Reporter REEFTON, September 6. Edith E. Riley, a widow, aged 76 years, of Reef ton. who suffered serious injuries in a car accident on the Lewis Pass road last Thursday, died in the Inangahua Hospital this* morning. The accident occurred when the car, which was driven by Mr Oliver Riley, of Reefton, Mrs Riley’s son. skidded in loose gravel and overturned into a roadside ditch. Mrs Riley was a passenger. Mrs Riley was born in England and had lived in the Reefton district for more than 40 years. Her husband died 25 years ago. She is survived by two sons and three daughters.
