PROPOSED SELECT COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP announced IN HOUSE
(New Zealand Prets Association) WELLINGTON, August 23. Before the House of Representatives rose to-hight, the Attotney-Genetal (Mr T. C. Webb) gave notice to move next sitting day fot the appointffieht of a Select Committee to consider capital pufiishmeiit and related matters. The committee Will have powet to sit With a similar cbmmittee froth the Legislative Council, and may report jointly or separately. Members of the committee will be Mr Webb, the Minister m charge of the State Advances Corporation (Mr J. R. Marshall), Mr E. Hackett (Opposition, Grey Lynn), Mr J. R. Hanen (Government, Invercargill), Mr C. G. E. Harker (Governmeht. Hawke’s Bay), Mr J. B. Kent (Opposition, Westland), Mr H. G. R. Mason (Opposition, Waitakefe), Mr A. J. Murdoch (Government, Matsden). Mr E. It. Neale (Government, Nelson), and Mt H. E. Combs (Opposition. Onslow). The proceedings of the committee Will be opeh to the press.
