M.E.D AREA WITHIN ALLOCATION
Electricity consumption in the M.E.D. area for the week which enaea yesterday was 98.9 per cent. ofMhe allocation, said the chairman of the City Council’s electricity committee (Mr L. G. Amos) last evening. The committee has decided to Permit commercial lighting from midday to 9.15 p.m., instead of froth 3 p.m., and domestic water heaters may now be used from 2 p.m. to 6,0. m., giving a total of 22 hours in the day. The only period in which water heaters must not be used is between noon and 2 p.m.
