GARAGE BURNED AND CARS DAMAGED
A garage and lean-to were- gutted and two motor-cars badly damaged when fire broke out at 32 Stratford street, Fendalton, the home of Mr B. B. Loughnsn, last evening. Two units of the Christchurch Fire Brigade attended, after receiving a call at 10.2 p.m. At 7.15 p.m. the brigade attended a chimney fire at 196 Gloucester street, on premises occupied by Mr R. N. Burgess. A chimney fire at 62 Edinburgh street, occupied by Mr R. H. Annibal, was put out by the brigade at 8.25 p.m.
