INDOOR BASKETBALL
Y-BOYS WIN COMPETITION Shooting freely from all angles, L. Hack led Y Boys to victory against. Polo, when the A grade competition of the Canterbury Indoor Basketball Association was completed last evening. Winning by 39 ooints to 22, Y Boys showed the true form that has given them a clear-cut win in the competition this season. For the second time this season. Southern Military District beat Rex by one point, the score being 15 points to 14. D Williams and K. Marshall broke up many Rex attacks and fed their centre, K. Ingham, well. Boys’ Gordon Hall forged ahead in the last quarter of their match with Marist to win by 29 points to 16. W. Dyson, playing at centre for Marist. gave a grand display of long shooting, but did not find support from his wing forwards. The lead changed hands many times in the match between Wigram and University. Penalty goals by W. Ring and S. Wilson gave Wigram the laad, and they won by 10 points to 8.
