FUNERAL OF POLICE INSPECTOR
Thirty members of the Police Force in uniform, inc'uding commissioned and non-commissioned officers and constables, attended the funeral yesterday of Inspector P. C. Felton, who was formerly in charge of the uniform branch at the Christchurch Central Police Station Senior-Sergeant J. J. Yearns was in charge of the parade Six of the uniformed police were pallbearers. The Commissioner of Police*(Mr J Bruce Young), the of Police at Christchurch (Mr T. E. Holmes), and members of the detective staff also attended the funeral. At the crematorium Mr Young paid tribute to Mr Felton’s qualities as a police officer and a man.
