MAGISTRATE’S COURT
WEDNESDAY (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.) REMANDED
A woman, whose name was ordered not to be published meantime, pleaded guilty to two charges of obtaining goods from business firms by falsely representing that she had authority to charge them to the account of her former employer. She was remanded to July 3, for a report by the probation officer, and was allowed bail in her own recognisance of £2O, conditional on her reporting daily to the police. Lancelot Joseph McEvedy, aged , a labourer, was remanded to July 5 on a charge that, on June 27, he was found drunk in Lincoln road, having been once previously convicted of a similar offence within the last six months.
CASE ADJOURNED Henry Cecil Rowsell was charged with assaulting Cecil Henry Rowsell at Waikuku on April 24, and assaulting Shirley Valmai Rowsell on April 17. Mr N. H. Buchanan appeared for the accused, and Mr A. H. Cavell for the complainant.
The case was adjourned, by consent, to July 26.
