Fifty per cent, of each offering v. culd be available to former servicemen immediately eligible for housing loans under the Rehabilitation Act. and the other 50 per cent, would be available to civilians and other servicemen. Ballots would be held when necessary.
Mr Corbett said that to ensure that applicants used sections for the buildups of houses for their own occupation they would be granted temporary tenancies until they produced evidence of an arrangement to build. They vould then be given permanent titles, either for cash or with a minimum deposit of 10 per cent.
A limited area zoned for shopping sites had also been released for ultimate sale when properly serviced.
