HOSPITAL BOARD’S PROGRAMME
SEVERAL BUILDING WORKS DEFERRED
Some deferments and deletions from the capital proposals of the Nor» Canterbury Hospital Board for 1950-51 were recommended by the DirectorGeneral of Health. The board yesterday adopted the following:— That the proposed porters’ and male nurses’ home for Burwood Hospital, at a cost of £20.000. should be transferred to loan finance.
That proposed additions to the nurses' home at the Jubilee Home should be deleted, but the alterations to the dormitory block should be proceeded with as soon as possible.
That provision for expenditure on lift alterations to wards 9, 10 and 11 of the Christchurch Hospital should be deferred. That building work proposed at the Kaikoura ana Rangiora Hoepitale should be deferred.
