CITY MILK SUPPLY
Sir.—Shadow sparring by milk supply companies, or in effect setting up straw men to illustrate cleverness in knocking them over, as indulged in by “Fed-up Producer” and Mr C. McFadden, chairman of one of the supply companies, is always a bit humorous. Thb simple fact is that milk at 8d a quart, plus additional costs to over Pd a quart, the year round for pasteurised, or imitation fresh milk classed as raw is ridiculous Citizens free of the domination by the select few of their organisation should be advised that milk can be considerably reduced in price, without doing harm to production; in ,s qu * te the reverse. Citizens should make sure that whatever council they elect will make representations to the Government to this effect. —Yours, etc., June 28. 1950. H ' BLISS '
