Fined for Assault.—William Thompson. a waterside worker, of Wellington. pleaded guilty in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Messrs W. C. Cleary and W. T. Lester. Justices of the Peace, to assaulting Motu Areta. Senior-Sergeant F-. Hayhurst said that Thompson had received a certain amount of provocation. He was convicted and fined £l.
