The Quartermaster-General. Brigadier R. C. Queree, will arrive in Christchurch on Friday morning and will visit the headquarters of Southern Military District. Later he will inspect Burnham camp. Mr H. W. Beaumont, education officer at the Canterbury Museum, will leave New Zealand next Tuesday for Vancouver. He will represent the youth committee of the National Council of Churches in New Zealand at a world convention on Christian education, which is to be held in Toronto from July 22 to August 19. He will also represent New Zealand and Australia at a meeting of the youth executive of the World Coun- | cil of Churches in Whitby. Mr Beau- ! mont hones to study museums in the I United States before the conference. He will return to New Zealand in : September. - Mr John Bostock, representative in New Zealand of the British Council, 'will leave for England on June 6 for a holiday and consultations. Mr and Mrs Bostock and their daughter expect to return to Wellington in October.
