FAVOURABLE RECEPTION IN WELLINGTON
(New Zealand Association) WELLINGTON, May 29. Terms of the new national development loan Lave made a very favo .triable impression in financial circles in Wellington. The loan appears to be assured of substantial support from the investing public, and prospects of oversubscription are being discussed. Some brokers to-day reported having already received orders for fairly large parcels. The Reserve Bank’s normal supply of application firms was exhausted within an hour, and a rush printing order was placed for 25.000 more. Requests for forms came from all parts oi New Zealand. Particularly favourable comment was made to-day on the abolition of the super-tax on unearned income. This relief it was stated, would considerably enhance the attractions of the new loan.
