HOUSE APPROVES EXTENSION
WASHINGTON. May 25. The United States House of Reprei sentatives to-day voted to continue the registration of men aged from 18 to 26 for stand-by military service. j The bill, which was sent to the Senate, extends for another two years the Selective Service Act. which is scheduled to expire next month. It prohibits the actual induction of men until Congress declares the existence of a national emergency. The measure also continues the President's power to mobilise indus- . try and take over all plants essential I to war production in an emergency.
