PRINCESS FATHIA
(Rec. 7 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO. May 25. Princess Fathia of Egypt will be remarried to her commoner husband, Mr Riad Ghali, next Sunday. Mr Ghali said to-day that he hoped a Moslem priest would officiate. He added: “What kind of a ceremony it will be we still do not know, but it will be a real marriage this time.” He and Princess Fathia were married in a civil ceremony last month. King Farouk, Princess Fathia’s brother, showed his disapproval of her marriage by depriving the Princess of her royal title and impounding her wealth. He cancelled the allowance of the Queen Mother, Queen Nazli, and removed Mr Ghali from his post as her political adviser. Then he ordered the Royal Family to return to Cairo.
