A.S.R.S. WAGE CLAIMS
INCREASE OF £2 15 - A WEEK SOUGHT (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 25. I On behalf of the 15.000 members they represent, the executive council of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, now in session in Wei- i l.ngton. has lodged with the Railways Industrial Tribunal a claim for a wage increase of Is 4£d an hour (£2 15s a, week). The society this month joined with other public service organisations in a deputation to the Prime Minister requesting an increase apart from any general increase that may be granted ! by the Arbitration Court after the lifting of subsidies by the Government.
