WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FEDERATED FARMERS
Christchurch.—Two new members, Mesdames Anderson and Bridges, were welcomed by the newly-elected president (Mrs A. E. G. Lyttle), who presided at the May meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers. Motions of sympathy were passed with Mrs Wornall in the death of her sister-in-law, and Mrs W. Parkinson in the death of her mother, who was a foundation member of the organisation. Group leaders chosen to take charge of the entertainment programme for the year were Mesdames Atkinson, Denham, Bateman. Clark, Herrick, Templeton, Foley, Rollings, and Wolff. Prizes for the competitions were awarded as follows:—challange cup: Mrs Foley 1, Mrs Chapman 2, Mrs Clark and Mrs Parrish (equal) 3. The violet group won the prize for most points.
