SYDNEY WOOL SALES

(Rec. 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 25. At. the Sydney wool sales to-day, 9770 bales were offered and 9534 sold. Competition was pood from Britain and the Continent. The market closed firm for all descriptions of better fleece wools and skirtings. Broad wools, carrying medium Ig heavy burr, were 5 per cent, lower than previous sales. There was also some irregularity in average to inferior wools, which showed a distinct tendency to fall. The top price was 125 d for greasy merino.
