MILKING SHORTHORN ASSOCIATION
A cup, to be known as the John Peach memorial cup, for the champion cow or heifer at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Show, is to be n lve L (? y tlle Canterbury branch of lhe Milking Shorthorn Association, it was decided at the annual meeting of the association. The cup will be in memory of Mr John Peach, who was killed in the Second World War. He was an associate judge of Ihe Canterbury branch of the association and the son of Mr Jennings Peach, of Sefton. The president (Mr L. D. Bowis) congratulated Messrs D. Hurford and D. McGregor Brown on their importation of bulls from studs such as the Scots.grove and Revelex studs in England, and said that this would give a much needed fillip to the breed in Canterbury.
