A cris’s which may tie up every ' Australian port is threatened as the i result of decisions by seamen, at' i unauthorised stop-work meetings today. The Seamen's Union threatens direct action if any official or member of the union is interfered with under ! any provisions of the Federal Gov- | ernment’s Communist Party Dissolu- i tion Bill. ; The seamen decided that they would 1 not work ships if any provision of the I bill were invoked, or if any member were logged for attending to-day’s stop-work meetings: and that no ship < would leave port until any loggings i were rescinded.
