Court yesterday. on a charge of being found in a railway shed at night He pleaded guilty and V/a> convicted and discharged. Donald Norman Ali and William Batev charged with deserting from an overset' ship. They were each convicted and sentenced to one month's iinprisonPeter Fi her. a water-ide worker, appeared on remand on a charge of stealing 22 oackets. of .203 ammunition. On the application of Senior-Sergeant F. Hay-hur-t he was remanded to appear at Christchurch to-morrow. Bail was renewed tn £25 and one surety of £25.
