j PROGRESS OF WORK REPORTED Progress made in preparing the site ; for the new Cashmere Hospital was ■ reported to the North Canterbury Hospital Board yesterday. The building committee said that the main roadway had been completed to a level six' inches below the finished grade, ready to receive the hard filling and tar-sealing. The board's architect 'Mr A. H. Manson» and the Dean of the School of Engineering at Canterbury University College 'Professor R. J. Rastrick) visited Wellington last month and conferred with the building services engineer of the Department of Health <>n building services installations affecting the new hospital. Plans snowing the layout of the plant room. ' ventilating, mechanical, heating and i hot-water services were put before the : department, which agreed with the ■ design.
