PLANES DAMAGED
TIME BOMBS PLACEp ABOARD (Rec. 10 p.m.) HONG KONG, April 2. Time bombs to-day damaged seven of the 71 Chinese commercial aircraft grounded at the Kaitak airfield, Hong Kong. They exploded over a period of about four hours. , Police cordoned off tfie area and began a search bf the remaining aircraft for further bombs. No person was injured by the explosions, which occurred in aircraft belonging to the China National Aviation Corporation, one of two commercial airlines which defected to the Communists about six months ago. The ownership of these aircraft has sinde been in dispute. None of the aircraft belonging to the other company, the Central Air Transport Corporation, have so far been damaged. The police said the bombs were small and were placed in various parts of the aircraft. The explosions did not wreck the aircraft, but destroyed important parts.
