PURSUANT to Section 43 of the “Rabbit Nuisance Act. 1928,” PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Ratepayers’ List for the Ashley Rabbit District is deposited at the Magistrate’s Court, Rangiora, and may be inspected without fee until the 14th April, 1950. Any person who considers himself aggrieved by reason of the insertion or incorrectness of any matter in the Ratepayers’ List may object by lodging with the Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Rangiora, not later than three days before the date fixed for such hearing an objection in writing setting forth the grounds of such objection. In accordance with Section 13 (2) of the Workers’ Compensation Amendment Act, 1947, every employer is required to deliver, not later than the 30th April, 1950, to the State Fire Insurance General Manager, a statement in the prescribed form showing:— (a) The amount of wages paid during the year ending on 31st March, 1950, to workers employed by him. (b) An estimate of the wages which he expects to pay during the year commencing on the Ist April, 1950. (The above requirement does not apply to members of insurance associations whose members have been exempted by the Compensation Court, or to local authorities which have been exempted by the Compensation Court, or to any other employers similarly exempted.) A person who is not an employer on Ist April, 1950, but who afterwards becomes an employer, is required to deliver a Statement of Wages within 14 days of commencing to employ. The Statement of Wages should be forwarded by the employer to the Branch Office for the District of the State Fire Insurance Office.

As soon as practicable after receiving the statement, the office will send to the employer an Assessment of Premium. The premium must be paid within one month after the date of assessment.
