N.Z. INSTITUTE OF WELDING
The annual conference of the New Zealand Institute of Welding will begin at Christchurch to-day. This evening members will hear the judge’s report on a “work piece” competition. Two technical papers will be discussed to-morrow, and in the evening the annuai dinner will be held. The announcement of prize-winners, the _ presentation of prizes, and the announcement of officers for 1950-51 will be made, and the presidential address will be given at the dinner. A tour of Christchurch on -Thursday will include a visit to the School of Engineering at Canterburj’ University College.
