PREPARING FOR ART EXHIBITION.—A group of members of the council of the Canterbury Society of Arts hanging paintings in the society’s gallery yesterday in preparation for the annual exhibition of New Zealand art. In the photograph are the secretary, Mr W. S. Baverstock (left), Mr W. T. Trethewey (kneeling), Miss Ivy G. Fife, Mr W. A. Sutton (at back), and Mr R. Wallwork. The exhibition will be open to the public for three weeks from March 16, and there will be a private view on March 15.
