PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ COMPETITIONS ‘ A. successful year for the primary schools tennis competitions was concluded at Wilding Park on Saturday when grade competitions and championships were concluded. Much of the improvement of the players is due to Mr H. Neal, who has coached and managed the players for a number of years. Results of grade competitions were:— Girls A Grade.—St. Joseph’s. B grade; St. Joseph s. „ B ° ys — A grade: North Linwood. B grade: Fendalton. Championship results were:—Girls’ singles, A. Pearce (St - . Joseph’s); runnerup, R Stark (St. Joseph’s). Boys’ singles: G. Dowling (Fendalton); runner-up, T. Harneiss (North Linwood). Girls’ doublesP Stark and P. Ryan (St. Joseph’s); run-ner-up, A. Dennison and A. Tivai (Sacred Heart College).
